From a sixth-grade Russian emigrant in a Suffolk middle school to the Manager of Digital & Customer Products at JetBlue Airways has been an impressive journey for Daria (Dasha) Godunova – and one she credits The Suffolk Foundation for facilitating. Thanks, in part, to the Howard D. Mast Scholarship she received, via the foundation, when graduating from Nansemond River High School in 2009, Dasha graduated Summa Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors – and no debt – from The College of William and Mary in 2013.
“It’s incredible how much of a difference a small scholarship can make, not only in being able to fund an education,” Dasha said. “But also in placing belief that I had to do my absolute best in school because so many others were investing in my success.”
