The Suffolk Foundation awarded a total of $141,300 to 32 nonprofit organizations during its annual grant distribution on Wednesday at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts.
Funding was given to agencies seeking support for cultural arts, education, environment, health and human need.
“The reason we are all here is to get money, and it’s great, because I get to give it away,” said Executive Director Win Winslow. “All areas are represented here, and all the work you do is truly appreciated.”
All of the grants will provide funding that has the ability to directly impact Suffolk and its citizens.
According to a press release, the Suffolk Foundation’s board anticipates being able to support more agencies and a diversity of needs with more funds, because their invested fund has continued to grow.
